About Dr. Md. Khorshed Alam

​Dr. Md. Khorshed Alam is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics of University of Barishal. He has completed BS Hons. and MS degrees in Physics from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.  Dr. Khorshed achieved PhD degree in the field of Materials Science, Tohoku University, Japan in 2011. Dr. Khorshed has long postdoctoral research experiences at Nagoya University (Japan), Kogakuin University (Japan) and Institute for molecular Science (IMS), Japan. His research interests include automobile catalysts, tribology, anode catalysts of fuel cells, Li-air battery, Organic Solar Cells etc. He has published more than 25 research papers in different prestigious journals like Journal of Physical Chemistry C, Catalysis Today, Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics (PCCP), Chemical Record, Applied surface Science, Journal material Research, Journal of Membrane Science, Material Research Communications etc. He has published more than 20 proceedings papers and joined more than 35 international academic conferences with his own research works in USA, Italy, Mexico, France, Japan etc. He is the reviewer of a number of reputed journals published from Elsevier, Royal Society of Chemistry, and Electrochemical Society, Bangladesh Physical Society etc. For the last few years, he has received research grants from different international and national organizations. In addition to academic activities he is contributing administrative activities and for the betterment of teachers community. Dr. Khorshed is serving as Director of teacher-student center (TSC) in University of Barishal. Current he is serving as general secretary of Barishal University Teacher`s Association and Organizing Secretary of Federation of Bangladesh University Teacher`s Association..
